Growing up in East Germany as a child with a migrant background I was constantly reminded that I was different and not like the other children. With the interactive installation I wanted to raise awareness of racism in my own way. It incorporates data from the study “Rassistische Realitäten” (English: Racist Realities) of the Deutsche Zentrum für Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (English: German Centre for Integration and Migration Research). People who have little to no reference to this topic are invited to become a part of the data-interaction by engaging with the objects, understanding the data and reflect and question their own behavior.
